AGENDA: Fall House of Delegates Meeting - Begins immediately after the Awards presentation.

Contributing to a House of Delegates Discussion In the hopes of an efficient and productive meeting! Once the previous speaker has finished and you have been acknowledged by the General Chairman… Stand up, introduce yourself, and state the name of the swim club you are representing. Speak clearly and concisely. Stay on subject and avoid personal attacks. State your motion or idea affirmatively: “I feel that we should…,” rather than “I feel that we should not…”. Most importantly: Be certain that you have a thorough understanding of the topic at hand before speaking, in order to avoid erroneous discussion!

• Proposal to Accept Niagara Swimming's new Vision and Mission Statements
  • Vision: Making swimming accessible to all, inspiring lifelong success, personal growth, and community engagement.
  • Mission: To promote and grow the sport of swimming by supporting athletes, coaches, volunteers, and clubs with education, resources, and high-quality competition, while fostering a safe, inclusive, and collaborative community.
• Proposal to Amend the Bylaws/ Policies and Procedures of Niagara Swimming
  • Bylaw 6.7.2 & 5.5.1.ii (90% required)
• Ratification of Policies and Procedures Amended by the Executive Committee since the last approved by the HOD 
  • ​​Policy #360 updated for clarity, World Aquatics World Cup added (8/18) (9/15)
  • Policy #370 updated to include any USA Swimming or Eastern Zone athlete leadership events, modified criteria (5/19)
