Notice Regarding Posted Meet Results & Personally Identifiable Information
The Niagara Executive Committee remains committed to posting accurate and up-to-date meet result files on our website for teams to import into their team management software. The Executive Committee has developed guidance for our staff and member clubs when it comes to handling personally identifiable information within these result files.
As announced at the Fall House of Delegates meeting, all CL2 result files were removed from the Niagara LSC website due to a change in our LSC Affiliation Agreement, citing that personally identifiable information (e.g. birthdates) must not be publicly posted.
After receiving guidance from USA Swimming and internal discussion, we will be re-posting result files on our website excluding birthdates in the coming weeks. It does ultimately remain at the discretion of our Sanctions Coordinator to post CL2 result files on our website, if they believe that it is or is not in compliance with the personally identifiable information clause in our affiliation agreement (e.g. observed/approved meets utilizing non Hy-Tek Meet Manager software).
As a general rule of thumb, meet hosts that post results online or distribute results to teams, please make sure you're excluding birthdates when exporting results from your meet management software. You can also wait for Niagara to post results on its website, then disseminate that information to the participating teams, as well.

As shown in Hy-Tek's Meet Manager when exporting results.
We appreciate your support as we continue our efforts to remain in compliance with USA Swimming and upholding our mission of providing high-quality competition while fostering a safe environment for all our athletes.
If you have any questions about this guidance, please don't hesitate to reach out to the Executive Committee.
Respectfully,
Nicholas Weiner
Administrative Vice Chair
Niagara Swimming LSC
